This is part of the progress.. i actually had finish the whole greeting card and this is one of the main idea i had used. The completed one will be uploaded soon.
I draw the vector line in illustrator to make my life easier and import it to photoshop for easy editing. Most of the images are created in illustrator as i thought it is much easier to draw there and the vector line is much more clearer and with plenty set of brush to enhance the drawing itself.
Over all in photoshop i try to apply most of the technique to improve my graphic and to keep it KISS.

Assignment 2 Ideation
I am creating a valentine day card base on this subject of example. instead of having red for valentine, other colors can also be used to enhance the features of this greeting card and make it unique.
to make it more real, i can apply the tutorial 9 techniques which i find it most interesting and fun to play with.

Photo Retouching
This is the Original old photograph that i will retouch and modify.
after retouching the photograph it look much better.
among the tool i used are magnetic lasso tool, healing brush, clone stamp tool, dodge tool, color adjustment and color saturation.
1. i crop the main pic to make it smaller as it easy for me to edit as the dimension.
2. next i used healing tool to remove all unwanted mess and make sure it smoothen it.
3. after tat, clone stamp tool to make the picture even more smoother and blend in the picture. (both step 2 & 3 took me 4 try as have to do it carefully and cannot undo so many times.. >.<" the 5ht try is sorta perfect as to prevent smudge in the picture as im only using clone stamp and healing brush.)
4. i adjust the color accordingly and i used magnetic lasso tool to focus on which area to brighten such as her hat, uniform, eyes, teeth, lips etc. i concentrate on all the part by using brush and color some part of it.
5. last but not least, i used dodge tool to smoothen up the colored area since it look so fake. i try out the dodge tool and it make it look more real and natural. so now she have a teeth. lol..
so that is all.. i really need to explore more on the tools.. but the fact that we cant undo so many times in photoshop really makes me frustrated. and my mouse broke down. need to get a new one asap!

After applying photoshop techniques to it i remove the swimmer, the text and turn it into a blend of sea water. Tool used are healing tool and clone stamp tool. both work similar however smootheness may vary.
This is the final picture of the whole editing. adjust the color adjustment and add text. as easy as that. that's all.
